Privacy policies

for the use of this website, for the mobile perception app, for Xing, business partners and applicants

We take the protection of your personal data seriously. Your personal data will be treated confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations.

1. Data processing when using these websites
We process your personal data as following::

Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are mainly:
• Browser type and version
• used operating system
• Referrer URL (originating address)
• Host name of the accessing computer
• Date and time of the server request
• IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources.
The basis for data processing is Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f "DSGVO", which permits the processing of data based on a legitimate interest. In this case, there is a legitimate interest in a secure and trouble-free operation of the web server. To ensure this, the administration must be able to recognise and trace attacks and malfunctions of the system via server log files. To be able to recognise attack patterns, the accesses to the server must be saved. As soon as these data are no longer required, they are deleted. For technical reasons, the data is disclosed to the hosting service provider, who is, however, bound by instructions and contract to us.

Google Maps
This website uses Google Maps and its API to display interactive maps and to provide directions. Google Maps is a map service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043, USA. By using Google Maps, information on the use of this website, including your IP address and the (start) address entered in the route planner function if applicable, is transmitted to Google in the USA.
When you call up a website of our Internet presence that contains Google Maps, your browser establishes a direct connection with the Google servers. The map content is transmitted by Google directly to your browser and integrated into the website by it. Therefore, we have no influence on the extent of the data collected by Google in this way. According to our state of knowledge, this is at least the following data:
• the date and time of the visit to the concerned website,
• Internet address or URL of the web page accessed,
• IP address,
• (Start) address entered during route planning.
We have no influence on the further processing and use of the data by Google and can therefore accept no responsibility for this. However, by being certified according to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield, Google guarantees that the EU's data protection requirements are also met when data is processed in the USA.
The legal basis for data processing by Google Maps is Article 6 Paragraph 1 letter f "DSGVO". Our legitimate interest lies in the optimisation of the functionality of our website.
If you do not want Google to collect, process or use data about you via our website, you can deactivate JavaScript in your browser settings. In this case, you will not be able to use the map display.
For the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Google, as well as your rights and setting options to protect your privacy, please refer to Google's data protection information: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de

YouTube
On our website we use plugins from YouTube, a site operated by Google. Operator is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit one of our sites equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. By means of data protection-friendly default settings, YouTube says that it only saves your data when you actually start a video.
By being certified in accordance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield, Google and its subsidiary YouTube guarantees that the EU's data protection requirements are also complied when data is processed in the USA.
The legal basis is Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f of the "DSGVO". Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our Internet presence. A connection to the server of YouTube in the USA is required in order to display the respective video on our website via your internet browser. During this, YouTube will at least record and process your IP address, the date and time as well as the website you visit.
If you are logged in to YouTube at the same time, YouTube will assign the connection information to your YouTube account. If you wish to prevent this, you must either log out of YouTube before visiting our website or make the appropriate settings in your YouTube user account.
For the purpose of functionality as well as for the analysis of usage behaviour, YouTube permanently stores cookies via your internet browser on your end device. If you do not agree with this processing, you have the possibility to prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your internet browser settings.
Google provides further information on the collection and use of data and your rights and protection options in this respect in the data protection information at https://policies.google.com/privacy

Web-Fonts by Google
Our website uses so-called web fonts, which are provided by Google, for the unified display of certain fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required fonts directly from Google so that they can be displayed correctly on your end device. During this process your browser connects to the servers of Google in the USA. Through this, Google obtains knowledge that our website is called up via your IP address.
Google is certified according to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield. The Privacy-Shield is an agreement between the US and the European Union to ensure compliance with European data protection standards.
The use of Google Web-Fonts is required to ensure a unified font appearance on our website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 paragraph 1 letter f "DSGVO". More information on Google Web Fonts can be found on https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in the privacy policy of Google: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy

Cookies
Some of the Internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain any virus. Cookies are used to make our website more user-friendly, effective and safer. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies". They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you disable cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.
Cookies, which are required to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions requested by you (e.g. shopping basket function), are stored based on Art. 6 paragraph 1 letter f "DSGVO". The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically trouble-free and optimised provision of his services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies to analyse your surfing behaviour) are stored, these are treated separately in this data protection declaration.

We maintain an online presence on Xing (XING SE, Dammtorstraße 30, 20354 Hamburg, Germany) in order to communicate with the customers, interested parties and active users and to inform them about our offers.
User data may also be processed for market research and advertising purposes. For example, user profiles can be created from the user behaviour and the resulting interests of the users. The user profiles can in return be used, for example, to place advertisements inside and outside the platforms that presumably correspond to the interests of the users. For these purposes, cookies are usually stored on the users' computers, through which the usage behaviour and interests of the users are saved. Furthermore, data can also be stored in the user profiles independently of the devices used by the users (especially if the users are members of the respective platforms and are logged in to them). The processing of users' personal data is based on our legitimate interest in effective information of users and communication with users in accordance with article 6 paragraph 1 letter f. "DSGVO". If users are asked by the respective providers to give their consent to the processing of data (i.e. to give their consent, for example by ticking a check box or confirming a button), the legal basis of the processing is Article 6 paragraph 1 letter a "DSGVO". For a detailed description of the respective processing and the possibilities of objection (opt-out), we refer to the information provided by Xing: Privacy Policy: https://privacy.xing.com/de/datenschutzerklaerung
In case of requests for information and the assertion of user rights, we would also like to point out that these can most effectively be asserted with the provider. Only the provider has access to the user's data and can directly take appropriate measures and provide information.

We will not pass on your data without your consent or any other legal basis. The personal data will be stored for as long as they are necessary for the above-mentioned purposes. Usually, we destroy documents 6 months after completion of the procedure.
